Privacy By Design
Privacy by Design is a concept introduced to ensure that privacy and personal data protection are embedded into the core of every project, process, or technology from the earliest stages of development. According to the GDPR, the principle of Privacy by Design is described in Article 25 and requires companies to consider data protection during the early design phase of any system or process involving personal data processing.
In practice, Privacy by Design means adopting technical and organizational measures to ensure that data protection is at the centre of business operations. This may include pseudonymizing or encrypting data, minimizing the collection of personal data, and defining clear criteria for data access. The goal is to minimize the collection and processing of personal data, ensuring that only strictly necessary data is processed and that the rights of data subjects are respected.
Trust Guardian’s Approach to Privacy by Design
Trust Guardian facilitates the adoption of the Privacy by Design principle, as outlined in Article25 of the GDPR, by integrating it into its platform to ensure that every data collection event is compliant from the outset. The platform enables the configuration of consents and privacy notices so that privacy is an integral part of every data collection and processing flow. This approach allows companies to maintain GDPR compliance from the design stage, reducing the risk of sanctions and improving customer trust.
