What is privacy history?

Privacy history is the complete, structured, and centralized archive of all privacy interactions related to each of your data subjects, including consents given, acknowledgments of privacy notices, withdrawals, consent updates, and every other privacy-related event. For a company, having a centralized up-to-date and detailed record of these events is crucial to promptly demonstrate the compliance of marketing workflows with GDPR in the event of disputes or inspections by supervising authorities.

With Trust Guardian, each privacy event is recorded and stored in the so-called Privacy Black Box, which serves as a central and secure repository for managing privacy history, maintaining its chronology for up to 10 years (or the period established according to your company policies).

Every modification is tracked and organized like a true legal privacy certificate, associated with proofs of authenticity and legitimacy (the so-called Proofs of Genuineness). This approach gives you a unified and complete view of the privacy lifecycle for each customer, enhancing your accountability and protecting the value and reputation of your business, even in the face of disputes or inspections.
